About Clearwater AI

Incorporated in 2020, ClearWater AI, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), began researching creative solutions to build a nexus between cyber security compliance, risk management, threat intelligence, and business requirements. The goal was to reduce overall risk by decreasing the laborious human or manual contributions in documenting risk while increasing the visibility of risk to assets and information systems. A new perspective was needed given the size and complexity of the federal government, the unique fiscal constraints, the regulatory environment, and the evolving threats targeting the federal enterprise.

Following retirement from the federal government in 2023, ClearWater AI’s founder shifted attention on exploring the potential of increased automation by enhancing risk management practices. Initially focused on creating use cases for Robotic Process Automation (RPA), it became evident that evolving capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and predictive analytics offered exponential opportunities. ClearWater AI formulated innovative approaches, structures, and AI algorithms specifically tailored to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the unique challenges faced by the federal government. These endeavors ultimately resulted in significant advancements in utilizing AI to optimize risk management processes.

In the latter part of Fiscal Year (FY) 2023, ClearWater AI started to support commercial technology companies, that do business with the federal government, in areas of IT management, cybersecurity, advisory services, and risk management AI. Demonstrating ClearWater AI’s ingenuity and creativity, the new risk management ecosystem enabled agency mission objectives, reduced cost, increased automation, and reduced risk. This shepherded in a new generation of managing risk and threats to critical assets, systems, and operations. In addition, the advisory and support services on technology advancements and trends assisted companies to better support the federal government.

In 2024, ClearWater AI formed a Joint Venture (JV) as the managing partner with one of the largest Value-Added Resellers (VAR) in the federal government. ClearWater AI was subsequently approved to be part of the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Mentor Protégé Program (MPP) and was awarded the first company certification in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Today, not only does ClearWater AI provide expert services in risk management and AI based solutions, but also provides solution engineering, value added reselling, and integration services to support a wide range of products and services.
